2013-06-26

After being awarded the following projects

- 3 bus depots for De Lijn

- 9 sports centres in Flanders with PMV

- the Livan tram project for De Lijn

Denys – as partner of the Cafasso Consortium (+ Macquarie and FCC) – has now been indicated as preferred bidder for the Haren prison, a prison project with a capacity of 1.190 inmates, in the Brussels Region (Belgium). The assignment was based on different criteria, the architectonic quality of the design of the Consortium e.g. stood out.

This prison complex needs to be available in 2016. Denys & Co will be responsible for the design, build, financing, 25 year maintenance and a 5 year soft services obligation (catering, cleaning and laundry).

The prison-village consists of eight separate entities of which three male prison buildings, two female prison buildings, one psychiatric hospital and youth prison.

For the moment, Denys is building the Forensic Psychiatric Centre for 272 inmates in Gent, also by order of the Belgian Buildings Agency.
